First, we asked: are hot dogs sandwiches? [nope, they are tacos]. Then came the grand unified theory of food identification: The Cube Rule of Food. And now, because „defining sandwiches isn't enough“: the Soup-Salad-Sandwich Space-Explorer, in which, for instance, the meatballs-enclosed-in-pasta are sandwiches and swim in tomato-sauce which would be soup. Ravioli therefore is high in Sandwiches and Soup, but low in Salad. Genius.
We cannot rest until we have a grand universal theory of food categorization. Soup-Salad-Sandwich Space can contain the full spectrum of human consumables by plotting them as (x, y, z) coordinates in (soup, salad, sandwich) space.
(The internet still can be fun. Who knew?)
