Zombieland: Double Tap

A decade after Zombieland became a hit film and a cult classic, the lead cast (Woody Harrelson, Jesse Eisenberg, Abigail Breslin, and Emma Stone) have reunited with director Ruben Fleischer (Venom) and the original writers Rhett Reese & Paul Wernick (Deadpool) for Zombieland 2: Double Tap. In the sequel, written by Rhett Reese & Paul Wernick and Dave Callaham, through comic mayhem that stretches from the White House and through the heartland, these four slayers must face off against the many new kinds of zombies that have evolved since the first movie, as well as some new human survivors. But most of all, they have to face the growing pains of their own snarky, makeshift family.

• George Miller plant 3 Mad Max-Sequels NA ENDLICH! Sounds Like We’re Finally Gonna Get Those MAD MAX: FURY ROAD Sequels: There are two stories, both involving Mad Max, and also a Furiosa story. We’re still solving, we’ve got to play out the Warners thing, it seems to be pretty clear that it’s going to happen.
Miller has offered up some details on these new Mad Max movies in the past, but most of that chatter occurred years ago. It sounds like Miller’s talking about three films in the quote above (two with Mad Max, one with Furiosa), and if we’re interpreting that properly it means the plan has changed yet again.

Dune movie wraps production, “Dune: The Sisterhood” gets a showrunner: Dune: The Sisterhood, to premiere on WarnerMedia’s upcoming streaming service HBO Max, all about the mysterious Bene Gesserit sisterhood. Dana Calvo, the creator of Good Girls Revolt on Amazon, is joining the series as a co-showrunner. She’ll work alongside fellow showrunner Jon Spaihts.

Gemini Man

Henry Brogan is an elite assassin who becomes the target of a mysterious operative who can seemingly predict his every move. To his horror, he soon learns that the man who’s trying to kill him is a younger, faster, cloned version of himself.

The Righteous Gemstones

Danny McBride (Eastbound & Down, Vice Principals) returns to HBO with The Righteous Gemstones, a new comedy series that tells the story of a world-famous televangelist family with a long tradition of deviance, greed and charitable work. John Goodman, Danny McBride, Edi Patterson, Adam Devine, Cassidy Freeman, Tony Calvero, Tim Baltz and Greg Alan Williams star.

The Goldfinch

The Naked Director

Based on an unbelievably shocking true story, check out the roller coaster of entertainment that is The Naked Director. August 8, only on Netflix.

Angel has fallen

When there is an assassination attempt on U.S. President Allan Trumbull (Morgan Freeman), his trusted confidant, Secret Service Agent Mike Banning (Gerard Butler), is wrongfully accused and taken into custody. After escaping from capture, he becomes a man on the run and must evade his own agency and outsmart the FBI in order to find the real threat to the President. Desperate to uncover the truth, Banning turns to unlikely allies to help clear his name, keep his family from harm and save the country from imminent danger. ANGEL HAS FALLEN is directed by Ric Roman Waugh from a screenplay by Robert Mark Kamen and Matt Cook & Ric Roman Waugh, story by Creighton Rothenberger & Katrin Benedikt, and based on characters created by Creighton Rothenberger & Katrin Benedikt. Lionsgate and Millennium Media present, a Millennium Films/G-Base production.

Dead Water

When a relaxing getaway turns deadly, a former Marine must risk his life once again to save his wife and best friend from a modern day pirate; all the while trying to hold himself together as he faces the ghosts of the war he left behind.

The Harvesters

South Africa, Free State region, isolated stronghold to the Afrikaans white ethnic minority culture. In this conservative farming territory obsessed with strength and masculinity, Janno is different, secretive, emotionally frail. One day his mother, fiercely religious, brings home Pieter, a hardened street orphan she wants to save, and asks Janno to makes this stranger into his brother. The two boys start a fight for power, heritage and parental love. An official selection of Cannes Un Certain Regard, Etienne Kallos’ debut feature film explores teenage angst and family dynamics set against a harsh yet stunning South African backdrop.

The Fanatic

EW shares the trailer and art for the film in which Moose (played by John Travolta) gets cheated out of meeting his hero, Hunter Dunbar (Devon Sawa; Idle Hands, Final Destination). Moose then hunts down Dunbar to get the celebrity interaction he feels he deserves.

Harmless at first, Moose’s actions begin to take a dark turn. Against the advice of his friend Leah (Ana Golja), Moose begins to make frequent visits to his hero’s private home. As the visits continue to escalate, Dunbar finds himself in increasing danger.

The story was allegedly inspired by a real-life fan who pursued Durst many years ago and looks to be slightly inspired by Stephen King’s Misery.
